Clear Sight Construction is a family-owned Residential General Contractor serving the Rogue Valley from Grants Pass to Ashland. We handle full siding replacement, targeted repairs, and dry-rot remediation with an envelope-first approach — meaning the waterproofing behind the siding matters just as much as the siding itself.
With 25+ years of hands-on experience and an active Oregon CCB license (#242156) we focus on small-to-mid residential projects and clear communication at every step.
1. Stops leaks and future dry rot
Failing siding, missing flashings, and soft trim often hide water intrusion. Replacing the siding the right way protects your home’s structure for the long run.
2. Boosts curb appeal and resale value
Fiber-cement, vinyl, or cedar siding gives your home a clean, durable exterior that holds up to Southern Oregon weather.
3. Lowers maintenance headaches
Modern materials resist pests, swelling, flaking paint, and constant touch-ups — especially compared to aging 1970s–1980s siding common in the Rogue Valley.
A top choice for the Rogue Valley. Fire-resistant, stable in heat, and excellent for long-term durability. Great for full replacements.
Budget-friendly and low maintenance. Ideal when you want a clean look without frequent painting.
Perfect when you love the natural look. We fix damaged boards, trim, and replace sections with envelope-right detailing.
If you have soft trim, peeling paint around windows, or “mushy” siding — we cut back to sound wood, repair framing/sheathing, and rebuild correctly.
This is where most contractors cut corners. We install housewrap, sill pans, and drip caps to building-science standards — preventing leaks long-term.
Caulking, priming, trim, and paint tie the whole system together so the exterior looks clean and lasts.

Posted on greatexp59Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Joe and his son were wonderful! They showed up on time, were prepared with all the necessary equipment, negotiated a fair price, did quality work, and were so kind, too! I will keep their numbers for all future projects!Posted on Elaine BodnarTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Joe and his son recently completed various "handyman" type jobs at my home and did a fantastic job. I needed the trim, moldings and doors patched, sanded, stained and sealed. Perfect! Joe took 15 years of the look of the interior. Also needed some interior wall patching and painting as well as some exterior siding work and again great job blending the old with the new. Priced to perfection, completed work on schedule and good communicator. I strongly recommend Clear Sight Construction!Posted on Sue CharleyTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I highly recommend. I had Clear sight install 4 windows in an older home and Joe did a great job. So had him do some siding work. Another great job and at a fair pricePosted on Carter GhiglieriTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Highly recommend
If you see swelling boards, peeling paint around windows, or soft trim, there may be rot or water behind the siding. We cut back to determine how far the damage goes and give you clear repair and replacement options.
Fiber-cement holds up extremely well in our heat and seasonal moisture. Vinyl is a cost-effective choice. Cedar looks great but requires more upkeep.
Yes — rot repair is one of our core strengths. We replace damaged sheathing and framing and rebuild the opening with proper waterproofing so the issue doesn’t return.
Most projects take 3–7 days depending on size, trim work, and rot repairs. You’ll get a clear timeline before we begin
Absolutely. This is where leaks usually start. We follow building-science steps: housewrap, sill pans, window/door flashing, and drip caps. This is the part that protects your home for decades.
